Teen named Fathima Rifqa Bary turned to pastors Blake and Beverly Lorenz of Global Revolution Church in Orlando, Florida for protection from her Muslim parents who are allegedly angry for her conversion to Christianity.
Fathima Rifqa Bary is 17 and is an honor student and cheerleader. She was raised in a Muslim family in Columbus, Ohio. However, she became a Christian four years ago as a result of her interactions with children at school.
In Islamic tradition, an honor killing is the customary slaughter of a person who is believed to have brought dishonor upon his or her family.
